Upload your pictures that illustrate global awareness here. These could be bulletin boards, student work samples, projects, and presentations, for example. See the slide show (below) of the various examples of global awareness I noted in the high schools.
It was interesting to see the different globalisms that dominated. The most dominate form of global awareness found in the buildings were environmental/ecological.
Another dominant theme was the many "globe graveyards" I found--literally rows of abandoned globes. How can we make these useful and relevant again?
Global awareness was prevelant in the forms of maps (primarily in history classes) and flags and other cultural displays (typically world language classes).
In English and elective courses such as Medical Science, displays of student work showed how global awareness is integrated into the curriculum.
AFS and other foreign exchange programs bring global awareness into all three high schools as well.
